This story proposes an intergenerational dialogue in the Swiss rural environment. Archival footage showing the technique used in the Alps to harvest hay in the early 20th century serves as a starting point to prompt a retrospective look by Jean Daniel, the protagonist, at a fading world. But it also invites us to look ahead to imagine the challenges that his own grandchildren will face in the future.
